Mark was raised in a military family, serving 9 years in the Army himself. He did not grow up in the church, and abused alcohol and drugs throughout his early 20s. That’s when he realized something was missing and that drugs and alcohol weren’t filling the void. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior – and that has changed his life. Wanting to share this life-changing effect with others, he became an ordained minister in 2009. “I don’t wish to see anyone stuck in the downward spiral that I was on,” Mark shares. He’s confident that anyone can turn their life around, with a personal relationship with God. Mark came to Penbrook Church of God on November 1, 2018. He enjoys watching college basketball and football. Look for his Miami Dolphins jersey to make an appearance in the pulpit during football season. He has completed 14 marathons to date and can be found running on the Capital Area Greenbelt. Mark has been married over 30 years. He and his wife Sue have a daughter, Jennifer, and just recently became grandparents! He says he’s up for pretty much anything – he’s not worried about embarrassing himself if he can build a relationship with someone, so they can build a relationship with God.

Wayne has served Penbrook Church of God for quite a few years. Throughout his tenure, he has held various titles which defined his changing role within the church. Starting as the Worship Leader, Wayne took the Worship Teams to the new level. Over the years he has taught our youth the value of music in our praises to the Lord. Wayne became the youth leader, providing spiritual guidance to the growing minds of our young family members.

Bob serves as our Business Administrator. As the Business Administrator, he is responsible for the processing of purchase requests, payment authorization, office operations and scheduling. Bob also serves as Worship Music Coordinator, Celebration Choir Director and Bell co-editor.

It is a tough job keeping the Church organized but Margaret has met the challenge and excels at maintaining the chaos that sometimes takes place. As our part-time Administrative Assistant, Margaret assures the "business" of the Church is taken care of and that the worship services have everything that is needed.
